Gear lists describe what was actually in the pack on that morning. Nothing is listed because it pays; items are there because they were used. Where an opinion is given about a piece of gear, it comes from using it on the trail, and the measurement behind it is on the page.

Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page markup so search engines treat them correctly. Pages without gear lists carry no affiliate links at all.

Weather data on hike pages comes from Open-Meteo and the National Weather Service. Neither relationship involves payment.
