The open shore of the bay across the water from Indian Island, a few hundred yards east of the Grist Mill and a short way north of the wooden dock, facing east across Stone Mountain Lake. Position is the mean of the watch's track positions at the capture times of the photographs registered here; the watch may sit a few tens of meters off.

This spot is inside the park's boat maintenance yard, a working area rather than a visitor one. The log keeps its record of these mornings, but no position, no walk time and no directions are published for it. The sunrise photographs on the site are taken from the open shore north of it.
