A place here is somewhere the camera keeps coming back to, and each is counted from the record rather than remembered. A photo spot is a point on the trail: a morning belongs to it when the recording passed inside the spot's radius. An island is counted by its shoreline instead: most of these walks start in the lot on Indian Island, so a recording passing through says nothing about it, and a morning belongs to the island when a photograph was taken on it. One morning can belong to more than one place, and the total counts it once. Each page carries the place's best mornings and its months.

The open shore of the bay across the water from Indian Island, a few hundred yards east of the Grist Mill, facing east across Stone Mountain Lake. Position is the mean of the watch's track positions at the capture times of the photographs registered here; the watch may sit a few tens of meters off.

The wooded island in Stone Mountain Lake that the Indian Island lot sits on, beside the covered bridge; most of these walks start in that lot. Water surrounds it, so the frames from its shore look out across the lake: east toward the sunrise and west to the mountain.
Every figure here is counted at build from the stored tracks and the photographs' positions. A spot inside a working area of the park gets no page here: its mornings stay in the log, and nothing on the site gives its position or the way to it.
