The Log
Two Mornings, Side by Side
Any two hikes from the log, with the difference between them

Pick Two Mornings
Every hike in the log against any other: the photograph or the route map, the numbers in the units the hike pages use, and the difference, B minus A. A plus sign means more of it on morning B: farther, more climb, more time on the move, a later sunrise, warmer, more cloud or a higher color index. How the numbers are made.
This page needs JavaScript. It fetches the whole log as one file, hikes.json, and draws the two mornings you pick from it: the photographs, the numbers and the difference between them. Without it, start from the hike feed, where every hike page shows the same numbers with their methods.
Morning A
B minus A
Morning B
Each difference is taken from the measurements before rounding and then rounded once, so it can sit one unit off the two rounded numbers beside it. Sunrise is compared by the clock; temperature, cloud and color index by the number. A drawn route has map estimates and no times.
