Glynn Stewart's series, heard one book at a time on the sunrise walks
I listen to audiobooks on the walks, one book at a time, and since July 2022 nearly all of them have been by one author. Of the 63 books I have heard on the trail, 60 are Glynn Stewart’s: 779 hours of listening, 95 percent of all of it.
Series by Series
He writes a lot of series, and I follow 6 of them: Starship’s Mage, where magic is what makes faster-than-light travel possible,3 Castle Federation, the Duchy of Terra, Peacekeepers of Sol, Scattered Stars, and Vigilante, the last written with Terry Mixon.2 I take each series in order and move between them as new books come out, so the order I heard them in braids the series together.
Each bar is one Glynn Stewart book, from the month I started it to the month I finished; each row is one series, in the order I first heard it, and its name opens the series with every book in order. The paler bars are from before the log began in January 2024, so their months come from the listening history alone.
It started in July 2022 with Starship's Mage Omnibus, the opening of Starship’s Mage. The first 5 Starship’s Mage books came out again on Audible from October 2024 to February 2025; the ones I heard are the originals, from before the log began.
How Fast He Writes
This is the part that still gets me. Audible lists 86 of his audiobooks, counting a re-released book once, and the first came out in 2015. In a whole year he has put out a median of 7, and 13 in 2021; there have been 5 so far this year.1 It is absolutely ridiculous, and awesome at the same time.
Glynn Stewart's audiobooks by the year each first came out, from Audible's catalog as it stood on October 17, 2026, with a re-released book counted once, in its first year; the darker part of each bar is the ones I have heard. 2026 is still running.
I have not heard 26 of them yet.
On the Trail
Since the log began, one of his books has been playing on 160 of my logged mornings. The book on each morning is on that morning’s page, and every book has its own page on the audiobooks shelf, with the walks it played on.
