Drove up to Fannin County for the bridge itself rather than the trail. The Benton MacKaye crosses the Toccoa here, a quarter mile down from the lot, and that crossing is the whole reason to come. First week of October, with the color only just starting.
What the Watch Saw
The Numbers
Elevation from the watch: the watch's elevation was GPS-derived and noisy that morning (steps up to 7.85 m between seconds), so it was smoothed over a minute and only climbs over 5 m count. Moving time drops stretches under 1 km/h.

Conditions at Sunrise
Cloud cover here is the low and middle layers together, the cloud that hides the sun. High cloud is what a sunrise lights up, so it is counted on its own. Open-Meteo archive (ERA5 and IFS analysis), 8:00 AM.
